Hiya.

I write stories for middle school souls, who deserve better than a culture of hopelessness and indulgence. Browse the blog, Sheepgate, where I give that culture a piece of my mind. TTFN, Emily

I'm Published-ish!

I'm Published-ish!

I entered a short story contest hosted by The Write Practice, a website run by Joe Bunting (and Atlantan, BTW). Through the website, writers were invited to critique each other's works before submitting for real. Incidentally, that experience alone was worth entering the contest, for reasons I will not divulge here.

The winners have yet to be announced, but in the meantime Joe and his team have generously posted all the contestants on his website, thereby facilitating my debut as a "published" author

I'll take it!

Feel free to visit the website, where you will find, in living color, my short story, "The Cowbird Egg." Although I am simultaneously petrified (I already hate it in four or five different ways), I'd love to know what you think!

Enjoy.
